Cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT) is a talking therapy that helps people change how they think and act to improve their mental health. CBT is based on the idea that thoughts, feelings, and actions are interconnected, and that negative thought patterns can lead to a cycle of negative feelings. CBT aims to help people break down problems into smaller parts and change negative patterns to feel better.
CBT is different from other psychotherapies in a few ways:
• Focus: CBT focuses on current problems, rather than past experiences.
• Structure: CBT is highly structured, with therapists and clients discussing specific problems and setting goals.
• Collaboration: CBT is collaborative, with therapists working with clients to find solutions.
CBT can help with a variety of mental health problems, including depression, anxiety, panic disorder, phobias, obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), and post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD). Which tends to be offered in 6 to 12 sessions and top-ups when required.
Hypnotherapy is a psychological therapy that uses hypnosis to treat mental and physical health conditions, helps to changehabits, guiding you into a deep state of relaxation and focus, where you are more open to positive suggestions relivent to your treatment plan. Which can be offered in 3-12 sessions and works more on the subconscious mind rather than the conscious mind.
